Historic-cultural routes at Douro Valley
The project for the inventory of the historical and cultural heritage of the Douro Valley, which began with the architectural and documentary inventory project of the province of Zamora and the district of Bragança, known as Douro/Duero Virtual, was coordinated by CEPESE, in cooperation with the Association of Municipalities of Terra Fria do Nordeste Transmontano, representing the district of Bragança, and the Diputación Provincial de Zamora, representing the province of Zamora.
The Douro/Duero Virtual project, a virtual centre for the historical and cultural heritage of the Douro Valley, is a cross-border project funded by INTERREG III-A Cross-Border Cooperation Portugal – Spain, Castilla León/North Portugal subprogram, axis 2, measure 2.2. This sustainable development program for border regions is managed by the European Regional Development Fund, the Directorate-General for Regional Development, and the Dirección General de Fondos Comunitarios y Financiación Territorial.
