Population and Society Journal, no. 42

The thematic dossier for issue n. º 42, coordinated by Cláudia Toriz Ramos and Isabel Costa Leite, to be published in December 2024, is entitled: "The Future of Europe".

At CEPESE, the project The Future of the European Union addresses the current situation of European integration and the challenges it faces, which cannot be disconnected from the European regional context and global geopolitics. International cooperation and active participation in Europe's international organisations aim to promote a rules-based global order. Within a succession of crises that affect the political-institutional structure and the economic, social and cultural fabric of the Member States of the European Union, in the midst of the debate on 'disintegration' movements, the future of Europe poses questions of the utmost importance and invites reflection and prospective analysis.
