The 21st issue of População e Sociedade addresses, in its thematic dossier, issues within the scope of Portugal's Foreign Relations, with eight studies within a time frame that begins in the mid-1800s up to the end of the 20th century, addressing diverse themes developed through different methodologies depending on the sources and problematizations under analysis, encompassing subjects that relate to foreign policy achievements and reflections of different nature on the country's international relations - with particular relevance to Brazil and Europe –, whether in the dimension of government initiatives or of groups and individual personalities. The Varia section is made up of five articles that mostly focus on the 19th century, evoking different themes in the area of Humanities and Social Sciences.
