History of the Mayors of Porto (1820-2007)

This Project aimed at describing the biographies of the Mayors of Porto between 1822 and 2009, detecting their actions leading the Municipality and presenting the evolution of the legislative framework concerning local power in contemporary Portugal, under which the Mayors of Porto performed their duties. This Project, which counted with the support of Porto’s Municipal Government, ended in 2009 with the publication of a work in two volumes and an exhibition in the Porto’s Town Hall on this theme
