Hispanic Medieval Nobility: 8th to 16th centuries
This Project aims at compiling a database that allows ascertaining the relations between Northern Portugal and Galicia from the respective nobility groups, during the Middle Ages (8th to 16th centuries).
This Project aims compiling a database that allows ascertaining the relations between Northern Portugal and Galicia based on their nobility groups, during the Middle Ages (8th to 16th centuries). The database will have three sections: published sources, bibliography, and a prosopographical and genealogical catalogue. Within the scope of this project, which began in 2008 and will have a first phase of three years, it will be organized an international conference on “The Hispanic Medieval Nobility”, with the publication of the conference proceedings and a Biographic Dictionary on the Medieval Galician-Portuguese Nobility.
