International Seminar ‘Human Security, Humanitarianism and Development - A Cape Verdean Perspective on the CPLP’
The International Seminar ‘Human Security, Humanitarianism and Development - A Cape Verdean Perspective in the CPLP’ aims to bring to academia and the general public a pertinent reflection on the profound concept of human security and its achievement through humanitarian action and development cooperation. Its main objectives are to reflect on the paths of change, based on the Sustainable Development Goals, aiming at achieving full human security societies, as well as open up the academic debate, in a bottom-up way, to local communities, young people and women, looking for ways to build ‘dignity’ from within, reflected in the case studies to be presented and in the participation of young researchers from the local community, namely from Cape Verde.
A joint initiative of Fernando Pessoa University, CEPESE, Piaget University Cape Verde and IGADI-OGALUS, this seminar will enable experiences to be shared between countries linked to Lusophony and contribute to the improvement and innovation of practices on the ground.
